Welcome to House of Gallo - a place where I share the things I love most: cooking, gathering, decorating, entertaining, and making a home feel like your favorite place to be.
I’m a wife, mom of three grown kids, lifelong candle maker, and lover of a good table filled with good food and people I love.
I’ve been making candles for more than 20 years. What started as a creative passion eventually grew into Oyster Candle Company and Coastal Gifts, a candle and gift shop in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. After years of growing that business, I realized I wanted to create something that reflected more of the way I actually live.
And that became House of Gallo.
Today, House of Gallo is about much more than candles. It’s my place to share the recipes I’m making in my own kitchen, the tables I’m setting, the things I’m loving for my home, ideas for entertaining, and the little details that make everyday life feel a little more special.
Of course, candles are still a big part of the story. Every House of Gallo candle is thoughtfully poured in Charleston, carrying with it the craft and experience that began more than two decades ago.
My style is collected, comfortable, and a little bit old-world. I love mixing beautiful things with everyday life - a pretty table that actually gets used, a recipe that brings everyone back for seconds, and a home that feels welcoming rather than perfect.
House of Gallo is an extension of that philosophy.
Cook something good. Light a candle. Set the table. Invite people in.
Because I think the best parts of life usually happen at home.
